Peanut Butter, Why?

You are as smooth as silk. You are the color of brown skin. You taste so good alone or slathered on just about anything. But, I have a bone to pick with you. Why does one serving of your luscious bounty–2 tablespoons–amount to almost 200 calories!? I’ve measured you out and a serving barely spreads evenly over two rice cakes. Why, Peanut Butter, why? I can’t ascribe that many calories to you. It’s not that I don’t value you. It’s just that I can’t accept that such a small amount of you amounts to so much.

But you are a nut. Nuts are fats, high in calories, very little or en masse. Viva la portion control.
